Who determines the specifications for traction batteries?
In most cases, the dimensions and minimum weight of the traction battery are determined in advance by the truck manufacturer. These specifications also define the voltage and capacity (amperage) required for the machine to operate correctly. The capacity of traction batteries is indicated by the maximum 5-hour discharge rate.
