Forklift course

The ‘Forklift safe operation’ training course combines a theoretical module with an exam and a practical module with an assessment, enabling operators to work safely with material handling equipment. A suitable training date is arranged in consultation.

Theory and practical module

The morning focuses on the theoretical module, which concludes with a theory exam. In the afternoon, the practical module is covered. Participants receive instruction and complete a number of practical assignments. The course is successfully completed once both the theory exam and practical tasks have been passed. Certificates and ID cards are sent by post after completion.

Why forklift training?

Forklift training is essential for safety, compliance and responsibility. In the Netherlands, employers are required to ensure that employees can demonstrably operate equipment competently.

A forklift certificate is not strictly a legal requirement, but in practice it serves as proof of competence. Without this certification, demonstrating professional capability is significantly more difficult. In addition to compliance, the training provides a better understanding of machine operation and associated risks. This knowledge helps reduce accidents and damage.

The course can be extended to include a reach truck module, allowing participants to obtain certification for both forklift and reach truck operation.

Costs and registration

The cost of this course is €145 excl. VAT per person, including training materials and certification. A suitable training date is arranged in consultation.

Forklift training also available for Code 95

Code 95 is a separate programme for lorry drivers who are required to unload using a forklift. This forklift training counts as 7 hours towards the mandatory periodic training requirement for professional drivers. The Code 95 forklift course consists of a combination of home study and on-site training.
